Imagine curling up inside the Bell Tent, the crackle of wood from the stove, the fairy lights twinkling under a starlit sky, we guarantee it won’t take long to feel completely relaxed and well away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Bell tents are for people who want something different from their holiday. For families, friends, lovers of the outdoors, romantics, those in search of adventure and anyone who wants a little bit of luxury but still wants to feel close to nature. Whoever you are the Bell Tent experience has something to offer you. One you will never forget.

Our Bell Tents are 5m in diameter, they are equipped with a double futon and two single futon style beds so they are big enough for four people to sleep in quite happily (An additional blow up mattress can be supplied on request for a fifth person).
The outside cover is made from a thick poly cotton canvas, which is light, and neutral in colour. Each of the Bell tents has been raised off the ground to allow natural ventilation. With wooden floors, rugs and throws they hold in the warmth and provide all the comfort you need for the ideal holiday.
Some things you will find in our Bell Tents:
- Wood burning stove with hot plate for those additional cooking needs.
- For fun with all the family or friends why not try out our bon-fire kitchen. Situated just outside each bell tent it’s somewhere between the wild west and Windermere.
- Solar lighting.
- Twinkling solar fairy lights – which just add that bit of extra magic.
- Comfortable futon style beds enough to sleep four people, consisting of four single mattresses which conveniently and easily turn into seating during the day (please ask if you are a bigger family or group and require an additional mattress for a fifth person).
- A fully equipped and functional kitchen including all the things you are likely to need for four people to cook and dine with.
- Gas hobs and grill, no charge for gas.
- Sides that roll up enabling you to let the beauty of the outside in.
- Windows, allowing natural light and some fresh Lake District air in.
- New for 2011 - Outdoor seating.
