The Great Langdale Valley has to be one of the finest Rock Climbing venues in the country. There is enough rock climbing here to keep even the keenest climber busy for many years. Our rock climbing activity offers an exciting, challenging activity for all abilities. You will learn how to belay, learn some new skills and have the chance to test yourself against increasingly more challenging climbs. Great views and lots of fun for all are guaranteed.
This is an amazing activity for pushing your boundaries and conquering fears! Abseiling involves lowering yourself down a rock face using ropes that are set in place. You are in control of your own decent. An exciting, challenging activity that anybody can do.
For the best abseiling in Cumbria (and arguably the country) we use the old slate quarry at Hodge Close, a truly atmospheric place for abseiling with stunning views over the Lakeland Fells. Here you can experience an abseil of up to 150ft and experience abseiling in a truly stunning environment. Experienced instructors will coach you on abseiling technique before ‘going off the edge’ yourself.

There aren’t many better ways to enjoy the Lake District that sat in a Canadian Canoe in the middle Windermere, Englands largest Lake. See if you can spot Bownessie, Windermere’s answer to the Loch Ness Monster! Sit and admire the stunning scenery that surrounds you, explore the secret beaches and coves on its shoreline or get involved in some fun Canoeing games.
The Lake District has the highest peaks in England and some of the highest in the UK. With soaring ridge lines and mighty crags, its makes an inspiring and exhilarating place to explore. But it isn’t all big hills; there are hidden valleys and tiny tarns of stunning beauty all waiting to be discovered.
We offer a range of courses to help you scale the biggest peaks or find that perfect place, un-changed since Wainwright first described it. Our days are set at your pace and based around the needs and aspirations of the group on the day.
Each mountain day will be different dependent on the group and will include, back to basic navigation skills, potential for ridge scrambling and guiding through some of the more remote areas the Lake District has to offer.
An exciting and challenging day whatever your needs.
